Costa Economes, Sr.

God called Costa Economes home on September 14, 2021. Preceded in death by; Mother, Mary Louise Turner; Father, Angelo Costa Economes; and brother, Jimmy Economes. Surviving family members; his loving wife, Faye Sellers Economes; Costa Economes, Jr (Melissa); Michael Economes (Tammy). Surviving grandchildren: Anthony; Brianna; Steven; Seth; Marlie; Dawson. Surviving extended family members: Jeff Sellers (Janet); Jill Sellers; Bill Sellers (Denisa); Justin and Jordan Sellers; Josh and Mira Whitworth. Costa was a member of Trussville First Baptist Church where he enjoyed fellowship with many. His dedication to his faith led him to participate in many mission trips over the years helping others in need. He proudly served his country in the Navy. He was a 40 year retiree of Alabama Power. Faye extends thanks to all of their church family for their kindness and prayers. The family would also like to thank the nurses and caregivers with Hospice. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 2PM at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville.
