Claude Bardon Burrow
Mr. Claude Bardon Burrow, age 92 of Birmingham died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at home. Memorial services will be 11:45 am, Sunday June 23, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Chalkville with Rev. Joel Farrow officiating.
Mr. Burrow was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after more than forty years of service, he was a WW II veteran and he served as a gunnery in Battery A 838th Anti- Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Rhineland Central Europe. He received WW II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American service medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.
Survivors include his loving and caring wife of 42 years, Eleine Burrow ; two daughters; one son; extended family of one stepdaughter and one stepson; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Burrow would like to express her appreciation for the care and compassion given by Care First Hospice Nurses and Staff.
