Clarence Earl Ratliff, 89, of Center Point passed away on June 1st, 2019. Clarence was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He worked for Hayes Aircraft (Pemco Aeroplex) for 44 years before retiring in July 1997. He was a member of Brewster Road Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Eugene Self Ratliff, his father, Ercy Ratliff, mother, Velma Rose Ratliff, sister, Edith Ratliff Buchanan, brothers, Martin Ratliff, Paul Ratliff, Quinton Ratliff. Survivors include his sister, Doris Ratliff Copeland, children, James Ratliff, Carol Ratliff Capps Anderson, Debra Ratliff Brown, Zelma Ratliff Nichols (Johnny), Naomi Ratliff Santillan (Apolonio), and Kenneth Ratliff (Danielle), grandchildren, Marie Ratliff of Japan, Jeremy Capps (Emilee), Johnny Nichols (Heather), Randy Capps, Chris Capps, Jamie Ratliff (Bronson), Jacob Ratliff (Tabetha), Dorothy Nichols, Angela Nichols (Josh), Amanda Brown, Jennifer Anderson Williams (Frank), Jason Anderson, great-grandchildren, Mario Ratliff, Madyson Nichols, Jordan Nichols, Preston Clark, Jacob Anderson, Aubri Capps, Colby Capps, Addisyn Capps, Jace Nichols, Lincoln Ratliff, and Lydia Brown. Pallbearers will be all grandsons and great-grandsons. Visitation will be Sunday June 9 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Chapel services will be Monday June 10 at 2:00 pm. Both at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Trussville. Burial to follow at Altoona Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to assist with funeral expenses.
