Clarence Everett Leggett, age 101, died at his home in Tarrant, AL on Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was born in Chester Co. Tennessee to Marion and Fannie Mae Leggett and grew up in Mississippi. He is a U.S. Army Veteran and was deployed to Africa in WWII. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church in Birmingham. Clarence enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors, working with his hands, reading his Bible and repairing lawn mowers with his right hand man Dennis. He will be remembered for his determined spirit, hardworking nature and compassion for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Edna Pauline; 2nd wife, Flossie Lee; and son, James Everett Leggett. He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Richardson (Bud), Jane Patton and Nancy Leggett; grandchildren, Charlie Richardson and Kala Quintana; great grandchildren, Amberlyn and Alex. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 10am-12pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with services following at 12pm. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
