Clarence Davidson

C. Stewart Davidson, age 89 of Birmingham, AL (Aug. 28, 1921-May 27, 2011) died after a brief illness. Mr. Davidson graduated from Woodlawn High School and attended The University of Alabama-Birmingham. Mr. Davidson was a veteran of WW II serving as a sergeant in the Army Air Defense Corps and returned to active duty during the Berlin Wall Crisis of 1961. Mr. Davidson retired as a manager with the Postal Service and became active in the American Legion and other civic activities after retirement. Mr. Davidson is survived by four children, Mr. Thomas Armstrong (Jolene) of Birmingham, Mr. James Davidson (Nannette) of Dauphin Island, AL, Ms. Diane Rappa (Frank) of Olive Branch, MS, and Mr. John S. Davidson (Alice) of San Francisco, CA; brother, Mr. Robert A. Davidson (Norma) of Birmingham, AL; step-child, Cathy Schuelly (Bill) of Birmingham and four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Services will be on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Reverend Tim Evans will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Zamora Temple Children's Hospital Transportation Fund. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
