Clara Kinnaird

In loving memory of Clara Posey Kinnaird, age 95. Clara, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully and with her grace on January 16, 2022, with her living children and Pastor Jeff Bonner, by her side. She was a caring and lovable woman who cherished life and brought many smiles to others’ faces. Her talent as a gifted seamstress brought immense joy to those who wore her hand-made dresses, aprons, and bonnets. Her elaborate draperies shall remain on display in local community buildings and in homes throughout the Southeast. Her loving soul will continue to live in her adoring family and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving husband and Air Force veteran, Leon, after sharing fifty-seven years of blissful matrimony, and her eldest son, Wayne. We know the Lord Jesus Christ has welcomed her with open arms, and it is with him where she will be forever at rest. She will be sorely missed here on earth by her surviving devoted children; Kenneth, Timothy, Layneigha, and Glen; and her cherished grandchildren, Scott, Erin, Darren, Josh, Andrew, and Ethan; and her loving great grandchildren, Branden, Westen, Mackenna, Joanna, Fredrick, and Ames. She will also be dearly missed by all her friends, especially those at Gardendale Presbyterian Church.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville with a funeral service immediately after at 12:00 p.m. in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home’s Chapel 1591 Gadsden Hwy Birmingham, AL 35235. Burial will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining cemetery. Pastor Jeff Bonner will preside over the service.
