Clara Hall age 94 years went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert (Snookie) Hall on December 7, 2016 after 73 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Mike (Kathleen) Hall, Larry (Cecilia) Hall, Cathy (Ronnie) Dickerson; Her six grandchildren Andrea (Yoga) Jones, Alicia (Jason) McKittrick, Christopher (Heather) Hall, April (Britt) Caple, Jimmy (Leigh Anne) Hall and Ryan Dickerson; Her twelve great-grandchildren Evan(Darian), Christian and Adriana Jones, Tyler and Ashley McKittrick, Isaac, Willow and Solomon Hall, Conner and Carson Caple, Aiden and Carter Hall, great great grandchild Zayn Jones. Mrs. Hall was one of fourteen children born to Emil and Lena Dahlke. She is survived by one brother, Johnny (Sally) Dahlke, her sister-in-law Claudia Dahlke and a number of nieces and nephews. She always spoke of how much fun they had at her home growing up. Her mother was always cooking and baking for her family as well as everyone who stopped by. They loved playing card games such as pinochle and rook. She was still playing rook until a few months ago. Her husband, Robert, was a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II and had training in the States before going to the front lines. While he was in the states she followed him to Texas and California working with the USO (United Service Organizations) until he was shipped out and she came back home to wait for him. Mrs. Hall was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church as well as Solid Rock Lutheran Church. She was very active in her church during her younger years. She was a faithful Sunday school teacher for decades along with participating in all of the ladies groups. Anyone that knew Clara knew how much she loved children. She kept all of her grandchildren, some of her great grandchildren as well as several other children who needed a loving person to keep them. She had a soft spot in her heart for children and made sure they were never hungry. She always donated to organizations that took care of children as well as donating food to the food drives at her church. A celebration of her life will be held on August 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Trussville location. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 P.M. Reverend Tom Lackey will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, an organization that feeds children or a Veterans Group of your choosing.
