Christopher (Chris) Robert McCrain,47, of Rainbow City Alabama gained his Angel Wings on June 6th, 2021. He was raised in Trussville, Alabama and is a Hewitt-Titusville High School. Alumni, Class of 1992. Chris felt the calling to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served 8 years as an Air Crew Life Support Journeyman with the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB, Florida and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He also is the recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Achievement Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Upon his release from the Air Force he called Panama City Beach, Florida home for several years before returning back home to Alabama. Chris never knew a stranger and was loved by those that knew him best. His infectious personality and will to help anyone that he could is what made him a true hero and friend. Chris had a passion for the arts, where he found joy in drawing and designing. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, and spending quality time with his close friends and family. Chris was an avid fan of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team. Chris is preceded in death by his Mother Debra McCrain, his Grand-Parents Vernon McCrain and Dorothy Baldwin, Mary Jo and Wallace Walden. He is survived by his daughter Mackenzie Renee McCrain, his Father Jim McCrain, his Step-Mother Susan McCrain, his Sister Angela (McCrain) Mabry, his Brother-in-Law Keith Mabry, two Nieces Nicole and Kerri Mabry, two Step-Brothers Butch and Jonathan Crowley. Chris also leaves behind numerous Cousins and Friends.
