Charlotte Clark Smith, 87, of Trussville passed away Wednesday, April 15. The funeral will be Saturday, April 18, at noon at Jefferson Memorial Chapel, the Rev. James Long officiating, with visitation held from 11:00 am until noon. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lucian Earl Smith; sons, Mark Smith (Melanie) of Decatur, Timothy Smith (Linda) of Center Point, and Matthew Smith (Laura) of Madison; grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Andrea Corbitt (John), Brian Smith (Beth), Dustin Smith, Matthew Smith, Cara Boardman (Patrick), Jamie Smith, Rebekah Smith and Ezekiel Jesse Smith; five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Deerfoot Baptist Church and a former member of South Roebuck Baptist Church where she also worked in the office. She graduated from Pisgah High School and attended Elon College in North Carolina and Snead Junior College. She enjoyed sewing and needlework and was a wonderful homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She loved serving the Lord through choir, the church library and mission organizations.

Her siblings, all deceased, were Ura Hutcheson, Bonnie Keith, Betty Hinds, Judson Clark and Bentley Clark. The family wishes to thank Golden Living and Olive Home, both in Oneonta, Choice Care and Care First Hospice for care during her last months. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's of Central Alabama (alzca.org) or other charities. Jefferson Memorial Trussville is directing.
