McDaniel, Charles S.

Charles McDaniel, age 82 passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013. He worked at Ed Mollison Chevrolet until its closure and then with Drennen Motors until that shop closed. He was retired from Thomas Foundry, where he worked for 37 years. He served in the Marine Corps from 1952- 1954. His pastime was tiling up God's soil for a garden, planting it, watching it grow, and harvesting it for family, neighbors, and friends. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geraldine; daughters, Kay McDaniel, Lynn Driggers (David), Anita Ball (Gary) and two extra special granddaughters, Kara and Molly Ball. He is also leaves behind 5 brothers, 5 sisters and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville from 1- 2 pm. Graveside service will follow at 3 pm at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church in Springville. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
