Charles Doss

Charles “Phil” Philip Doss, age 69 of Oneonta Alabama passed away on December 8th 2021 after a lengthy illness.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Becky Cowden Doss; Jake Doss (Karen),  Bo Doss (Kristen); sister, Bobbie Wordell Sparks, granddaughters, Sarah Claire Doss and Annemarie Evans Doss; and many other special family members and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents Louella and JC Doss, his sons, infant Nathan Joshua Doss and SPC Casey Jordan Doss.

Phil was a much loved husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed knife collecting, Alabama football and spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends from 11-12 at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.  The service will begin at noon in the Chapel on Monday, December 13, 2021 with a private family burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Phil’s name to Blount County Animal Adoption Center or the Blount County Children’s Center.
