Charles Garrison

Charles Donald Garrison  (also known to friends and co-workers as Don and Charley), passed away on March 28, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his beloved and much cherished wife Edith, his parents, and three older brothers.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Girratono (Tony), his son William Charles and his sons Justin Charles and James Daniel, his son Gregory Alan (Suzanne), his brother Johnny Garrison, and many nieces and nephews whom he adored.
He was honoured to have served his country with the 120th Combat Engineers, 45 Division, Company D, in the US Army in Korea.
He was also a longtime member of First Christian Church, Birmingham, where he sang in the Chancel Choir and served as deacon for many years.
Like many men of his generation, there was nothing he could not do.  He will be missed, for he was our hero. And above all else, he was a good man.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held in the future.
