Charlene Chadband, 72, Sadly passed away February 5, 2025 after a long hard fight of endometrial cancer. Born in Portland, Oregon, She attended Andrew Jackson High School, afterwards attended Marylhurst college, then attended the School of Nursing at the University of Oregon where she got her degree in Nursing.
Charlene was an avid gardener and gave national butterfly talks. She was part of the Master Gardeners. Jenny Jone Crowley, and the Bham Botanical Gardens Association.
During Nursing school, she met Robert who was a medical student. She married Robert after graduation. Afterwards Robert became a doctor for the Army in Tacoma, Washington. Both children were born in Fort Gordon in Georgia. They finally resided in Birmingham, Alabama where they raised their family where everyone knew her as an adoring grandmother.
She is survived by her brother, David Hill, Sister, Denise Hill, Son, Aaron (Martha). Son, Simon; Grandchildren: Harmon and Eli; and 4 Nieces and Nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lowell Hill, mother Ernestine Quasebarth, husband, Dr. Robert Chadband.
Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
The Family has requested that no black clothing is to be worn. Bright colors were her request.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Charlene Chadband, age 72 of Trussville, will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with family and friends officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining gardens.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
