Catheren Shannon

Catheren Cook Shannon, 91 of Birmingham passed away on November 12, 2011. Catheren was a member of Huffman Baptist Church for 55 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lillian Cook of Birmingham and two sisters, Louise Outlaw of Birmingham and Virginia Hall of Atlanta GA. Survivors include her loving husband John R. Shannon ,Jr. of 71 years; four sons, Harold Shannon (Gloria ) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Ralph Shannon (Janet) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Roy Shannon (Mary) of West Point, MS and Sam Shannon (Leslie) of Pike Road, AL; two sisters, Gracie Armstrong (Ray) of Birmingham and Clara Douglas of Center Point; grandchildren, Troy Shannon, Eric Shannon, Patrick Shannon (Jennie), Kelli Day (James), Susan Dove (Richard) and Amy Shannon; three great grandchildren, McKenzie Shannon Day, Jake Warren Day and Madelyn Shannon Dove and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16 beginning at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Chapel services at 2:00 PM with Dr. Harper Shannon and Rev. Larry Smith officiating.
