Carolyn Brown Berryhill, 84, of Trussville, AL. passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025. She was born to Jewell and Glenn Brown on November 14, 1940, in Boaz, Alabama. She graduated from Douglas High School.
Carolyn married Kenneth Berryhill on June 8, 1962. Together, they made their home where she was a loving mother to their daughter Kim. She retired from the City of Woodstock in Woodstock, GA, where she worked. Carolyn's joy was being Mimi to her two grandsons, Will and Walker. They were always the most handsome boys to their sweet Mimi. She loved cheering for them at all of their many sporting events.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jewell and Glenn Brown, and by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Ray Berryhill. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kim Berryhill Smith (Jason) of Trussville; grandsons, Will and Walker Smith; her sisters Janice McConnell (Sherrell) of Chattanooga, TN, Glenda Taylor of Argo and Denise Hooton (John) of Pinson; Sister-in-law Patricia Berryhill of Atlanta, GA and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Regency Pointe in Rainbow City and Brookdale University Park in Homewood for the compassionate care they provided Carolyn.
In lieu of flowers, a gift in memory of Carolyn can be made to the Dementia Society of America (www.dementiasociety.org/donate).
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 1:00pm with funeral services at 2:00pm. Rick Kaufhold will officiate.
