Carol McWilliams, age 92, of Trussville, AL passed away on December 17, 2015. Retired from Delta Airlines, Carol never met a stranger and will be missed by many, particularly in the Trussville area where she was a longtime resident and a member of First United Methodist Church of Trussville. She will be remembered for her sweet disposition and loving kindness to all around her. Carol was predeceased by her husband John R. McWilliams, parents Minnie Lee and Jacob Jesse Matson, sisters Roberta Alley and Nanny Dee Durden, brother William Jacob "Jake" Matson, nephew L. Murray Alley, Jr., and niece Dorothy Alley Lewis. "Favorite Aunt Carol" is survived by nieces Zan Alley (Murphy) and Patricia Alley, nephew Eddie McWilliams (Vonette), great nieces and nephews Nancy Lewis McColloch (Terry), Janet Lewis Jackson (Stony), Delinda Alley Davis (Jim), Deborah Alley Smith (Gary), Lehman M. Alley, III (Angela), Alfred Tucker Alley (Christy), dear friends Phyllis and Herman Jordan and many great-great nieces and nephews and other friends and family. The family members wish to express their thanks to those who cared for Carol at Fairhaven. The family will receive visitors at Jefferson Memorial Gardens at 2:00, Sunday, December 20, 2015, followed by graveside services at 3:00.
