Carol Lyles

Carol Faye Smith Lyles, 67, of Pinson, passed away January 25, 2016. She worked and retired from the Birmingham Transit Authority and enjoyed going on cruises after her retirement. Carol enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and canning vegetables. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Betty Smith, and her brother Ben Smith. Chapel services will be held on Thursday, Jan 28, at Noon with visitation an hour before services. She is survived by her husband of 49 years John R. Lyles Jr., children Jennifer Lyles Berry (Gordon), and Jason Robert Lyles (Wendy), brother Steve Smith, grandchildren Brooke and Reagan Lyles, Lauren, Logan and Caroline Berry. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses in MICU at St Vincent's East Hospital for their loving care for Carol. In lieu of flowers make donations to the American Cancer Society.
