Carol Hammack

Carol Joy Attaway Neighbors Hammack, age 72, of Springville, went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2012. She retired as a registered respiratory therapist from both Baptist Montclair and Children's Hospital. She was a faithful member of South Roebuck Baptist Church. Carol was passionate about Christ and looked forward to the day she would be reunited with Him. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Mildred Attaway; sister, Nancy Ellen Hudson; and her husband, Dr. William J. Hammack. Survivors include her children, Patricia Crook, Mel Crook (Gloria), Peggi Ward (Mike), and Nanci Scarpulla (Chris); stepchildren, Allen Hammack, Jeff Hammack, Chris Hammack and Marie Layton; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild; additionally, her caregiver and friend, Deborah Wilkinson as well as her beloved Chihuahuas, especially Bruiser. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 10AM - 12PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
