Carmen Grimmet Davidson, 80 of Trussville passed away on September 21, 2011. Carmen was a graduate of Woodlawn High School. She was a devout Christian and founding member of Cathedral of the Cross where she was served as the only female member of the Board of Trustees. Carmen was also an avid bowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Davidson, Jr.; her brothers, Arnold, Bill and Don Grimmett and her sisters, Helen Dickerson, Evelyn McDonald and Alene Ponder. Survivors include her boys, William Thomas Davidson III, Michael Gordon Davidson, Ronald Alan Davidson and Charles Byron Davidson (Karen); one sister, Rosa Lee Lynn; five grandchildren, Betsy Davidson Ragan (Jon), Billy "Brother" Davidson IV, Katie Davidson Spurlock (Chad), Max Alexander Davidson and Rachel Dorothy Davidson and a multitude of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7PM. Chapel services will be on Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Mike Wright officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Gateway Family Church, PO Box 225, Pinson AL 35126. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
