Carl Morris

Carl A. Morris, 90 of Pell City, Alabama died February 23, 2016 following a brief illness. He was born January 30, 1926 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Morris. He was the youngest of 8 siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Nell McHugh Morris. After serving in the United States Air Force in Europe in WWII and being discharged, he was employed as an engineer by United States Steel and Rust Engineering. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rena and Gary Lyle of Trussville, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Beth Morris of Homewood, Alabama. He had four grandchildren, Blake Morris of Atlanta, GA, Jason Lyle (Kelley) of Nashville, TN, Paige Morris Miller (Brian) of Birmingham, AL and Ashleigh Lyle McClenney (Cole) of Birmingham, AL. He will be missed by family and friends who knew of his strong belief in the one sovereign God. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 1 to 2 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East at 2 PM. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Children's Harbor. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
