Bruce Biggs

Bruce Curtis Biggs, age 84 of Birmingham, passed away June 26, 2009. He was retired after 38 years of service as an elevator repairman with Westinghouse Elevators. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII and was a member and past president of local 24 International Union/ Elevator Constructors. Chapel funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, at 2:00PM at Jefferson Memorial funeral Home with burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 28, from 5PM-7PM. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Polly Biggs. He is survived by his daughter: Lisa (Andrew) Weems, son: Curtis (Wanda) Biggs, grandchildren: Scott DeMedicis and Brent DeMedicis, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Donations may be made in Bruce's memory to either American Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
