Brenda Rosetta Reese Jones (October 10, 1943-April 4, 2025)
Brenda Rosetta Reese Jones, 81, of Chelsea, AL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of April 4. She was born in Birmingham, AL, on October 10, 1943 to Vester and Evelyn Reese. Brenda attended Hewitt Trussville High School in Trussville, AL. She will be truly missed by family and friends. After losing the love of her life, William Lloyd Jones Sr., after 40 years of marriage, she relocated to Chelsea, AL, from Chalkville. She loved keeping in touch with her friends and family on the telephone. She quickly made friends in her new home and would walk around a lake near her home with them. She loved working in her yard and tending to her home. She missed her husband greatly, but especially so in these past couple of years. They would've been married 61 years this year. She often talked of him and would always remind the family of how they were married on Valentine's Day. She loved to cook and have family over to her home. She enjoyed her home being full and there was never a shortage of something good to eat. Her house was full of pictures of family and she would watch VCR tapes and DVDs of family and friends. She also loved listening to her old records and dancing.
Brenda was the beloved mother to her two children, William Lloyd Jones Jr. (Kim Holden Jones) and Kristin Leah Jones Allen (Bryant William Allen). She was preceded in death by mother, Evelyn and father, Vester Reese, along with two of her brothers William (Bill) Reese and Bobby Reese. She is survived by her remaining siblings Pat (Sister) Calvert James Reese, Myra Isbell and Cathy Ratcliff. She has four grandchildren, Nicholas Jones (Emmy), Grant Jones (Lizzie), Riley Allen (fiance, Noah Carter) and Reese Allen, along with two great grandchildren, Eleanor Jane Jones and Shepherd William Jones and many nieces and nephews.
Brenda's visitation will be on April 11th, between 9:00-10:00 am, at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, AL, where she will be laid to rest and reunited with her husband again, along with her mother, father and brothers.
