Brenda Parris Greenway, age 69, of Moody, AL passed away at her home on April 26, 2020. Brenda was born in Albertville, AL and later her family relocated to Tarrant, AL. Brenda grew up attending Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and met her future husband, Dudley L. Greenway. Brenda graduated from Tarrant High School in 1968. On June 29, 1968 Brenda and Dudley were married. They had three children, Johnny, Belinda, and Neal. Brenda was a homemaker during the early years of the children's lives and then she worked at Cornelius Grocery Store in Tarrant for several years. Brenda was a mother that made sure her children were involved in sports and you always knew that Brenda was at the games because she would be the one yelling at the umpires/referees that they made bad calls. Brenda then went to work in the transport industry at Cook Transport, Malone Freight lines, and ended her career as a safety director at Hall Systems. Brenda stopped working, to assist with the care of her parents and her grandchildren. Brenda was a straight forward person and at times would speak before she thought, but everyone knew that she meant well and wanted the best for them. Brenda would take on and fight any troubles of those she loved so that they would not have to endure pain for themselves. Anyone that knew Brenda, knew that she would give and do anything for anyone in need. When people encountered Brenda, one of the first things that she would ask them was whether or not they were a Christian and if they knew the Lord Jesus Christ. Brenda had a servants heart and wanted to know that everyone she came in contact with would spend eternity in Heaven. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband - Dudley L. Greenway, Parents- Earnest D. Parris and Tola Winfrey Parris, Grandson - Zachary Neal Greenway, brothers - Jimmy Parris and Wayne Parris. Brenda is survived by her three children: Son - Johnny (Kristi) Greenway, Daughter - Belinda (Michael) Rollins, Son- Neal (Allison) Greenway. Grandchildren: Cole Greenway, Hunter Rollins, Connor Greenway, Austin Greenway, Addison Greenway, Charlie Rollins, Abbie Grace Barber, Andrew Barber, and Preston Rollins.
