Brenda Allison

Mrs. Brenda Joyce Gregory Allison, age 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior after an extremely short battle with cancer. She was a very active member of Deerfoot Baptist Church and was the bookkeeper for the Child Development Center there. She was a devout Christian, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She was a 1965 graduate of Woodlawn High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ricky (Rick) Allison and her parents, Willie Robert and Viola Samples Gregory. She is survived by her three sons, Greg (Ginger), David (Jaime), and Andy (Melissa), 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, brother Robert Gregory, sisters Carol McDonald, Bobbie Jean Stewart, Dorothy Vaughan, Toy Lane Weeks, and Ann Hamilton, brother-in-law Charlie Allison, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed by many, but none more than her high school friends that met once a month to eat dinner and her many friends with whom she played dominoes, cards, or travelled the world. Special thanks go out to the nurses and staff at Optum Palliative and Hospice Care for their superb care and professionalism. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Deerfoot Baptist Church with the funeral service following. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Reverend Mark Gainey officiating. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
