Billy Windham

Billy Joe Windham, age 73 of Leeds, AL passed away on June 2, 2012. He was a member of Ashville Road Church of Christ and was involved in missionary work through Sojourners. He was a youth minister and Deacon for Center Point Church of Christ and worked with Christians in Action with Roebuck Parkway Church of Christ. He was also a Bible teacher from the age seventeen and up. He retired from Steel City Crane Rental. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Windham and his brother, Max Windham. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Windham; children, Rebekah Gray (Phillip), Joel Windham (Sharon), and Paul Windham (Marisa); sisters, Betty Daniel, Ann Myers, and Nelda Windham; brothers, Kenneth Windham, James Windham, and Bruce Windham; grandchildren, Jordan Gray (Priscilla), Laurel Gray, Joshua Windham, Briana Windham, Whitney Windham, and Kyle Windham; great grandchildren, Whit and Brooke Gray, Brantly Windham, and Abigail and Austin Windham Gray. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 5:30 to 7:30PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Brother Drew Kizer will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rainbow Omega in Eastaboga, AL or the Peru Mission through the Ashville Road Church of Christ. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
