Wayne Pullen

October 13, 1963 — October 9, 2023

Mr. Billy "Wayne" Pullen, Jr. died peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023 surrounded by family. Wayne was born in Birmingham, Alabama, moving to Rome, Georgia, where he spent his formative years, graduating from Darlington High School. He studied at Jacksonville State University, and eventually settled in Birmingham, AL.

Wayne enjoyed many friendships and opportunities in Birmingham throughout his life, and demonstrated deep concern and care for others through his intentional actions each day. He loved to cook and entertain others, a passion that led him to start the Bama Quad Squad tailgating group. For 18 years the Quad Squad tailgated together at Alabama home games, welcoming Bama fans and visiting fans with open arms. Known as "The Mayor", Wayne was a charismatic fixture of Alabama football game days who will be greatly missed. Roll Tide forever!

Wayne is survived by his mother Patricia Pullen, his aunt and uncle Roger and Jane Edge, his cousin Brian Edge (wife: Cynthia, children: Dylan and Lily), his aunt Barbara Zancocchio, and cousin Connie Young. Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Pullen, Sr.

The family would like to invite you to please feel free to wear Alabama themed or casual wear for Wayne's service.
