Billy Murphree

Billy J. Murphree, age 75, of Birmingham, passed away on January 10, 2012. He was a member of the Mason Lodge in Center Point, Eastern Star 416 in Center Point, as well as a member of Center Point Baptist Church and he served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Murphree was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Ann (McKinnon) Murphree as well as brothers, Barney Murphree and Danny Murphree. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Faye Murphree; daughters, Julie Murphree (Ben) and Sherry Steele (Robert); son, Robert Murphree (Lisa); sisters, Betty Armstrong and Linda Motzi (John) and brother Phillip McKinnon; 4 grandchildren, as well as numerous step brothers and sisters. Visitation for Mr. Murphree will be on Thursday, January 12 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Friday, January 13 at 2:00 PM with Masonic service to follow. Burial will be in Marvin's Chapel Cemetery in Pinson. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
