Billy Harris

Billy "B" Glenn Harris, age 79, of Trussville, went to be with his Lord, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, November 12, 2017. He was born in Bessemer, Alabama on April 28, 1938 to Mary Louise Patterson. In October of 1958 he married his wife of 59 years, Lois. Billy started his career at Liberty National Insurance. In the early 1970s he began his longstanding successful career in the real estate business as a salesman, builder, and general contractor. He formed his own company, Bill Harris Realty, where he spent 40 years thoroughly enjoying his work and cherishing the relationships that he made. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Patterson. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois; his only daughter, Kim Dodd (David); his granddaughter, Shanan Reynolds Leith (Jesse); grandsons, Tyler Clark Dodd (Austen) and Tanner Harris Dodd; two great-grandchildren, who he adored, Sawyer and Salem Leith; and his brother, Larry Harris (Janice). His life will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017 at 3pm with visitation beginning at 2pm at Clearbranch United Methodist Church, Trussville. Billy had a heart of gold and always helped others.
