Billy Bowers

BOWERS, BILLY ROYCE, age 73 of Birmingham, AL went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday August 31, 2011. Born to Jim and Bertie Bowers in Nashville, TN. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Chalkville. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nora Hunt Bowers, and children, Diane (Mark) Bennett, Sheryl (Frank) Spear, Susan (Rodney) Holmes, Walter/Bud Bowers, and Lori (Scott) Tucker, grandchildren, Amy, Jayson, Jennifer, Andrew, Timothy, Adam, Katie, Emily, Brittney, Jessica, Jacob. Also, great-grandchildren Dalton, Mackenzie, Isabella, Zac, Willow, Anna, Piper, Holt, Ava, Harper, Kinley, and Mabel. He is also survived by one brother, JC (Odessa) Bowers, two sisters, Dorothy (Hartie) Mason and Peggy (Wallace) Harrison. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 5 to7pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, AL. Chapel service will be Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 10 am, Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, AL. Graveside services to follow. Reverend Joel Farrow will be officiating. A reception following the graveside service will be held at First Baptist Church of Chalkville.
