Billy Barnett

Barnett, Billy Edward, age 79, a resident of Prattville, AL, and a longtime resident of Center Point, AL, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Mr. Barnett was the second youngest and last surviving child of the late John and Mamie Barnett; Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Reid Barnett and daughter Sheila Chandler. Survivors include two daughters: Shree Turner (Neil) and Shawn Reid (Andy); five grandchildren, William Neil Turner, Jr. (Katie), Andria Walker (Patrick), Hannah Reid, Mason Reid, Bradley Chandler and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Neil Turner, Andy Reid, William Neil Turner, Jr., Mason Reid, Patrick Walker, Russell Vest, and Turner Walker. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00pm on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL with Rev. Kenneth Wren officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family wants to extend their thanks to the staff of Prattville Health and Rehab and Comfort Care Hospice for their kindness and care during this time. Special thanks to Edrikus "Bud" Huffman, Mr. Barnett's special care giver, and Dr. Lee Carter. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
