Billie Gowens

Billie Jo Gowens, age 77, of Vincent, passed away on February 27, 2020. She was a retired LPN at Montclair Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church. She loved to crochet, spend time with family and friends, and also worked concessions at the courthouse. She is preceded in death by her parents, Perna and Sydney Armstrong; her brother, Clarence Armstrong; and her sister, Mary Allison. She is survived by her husband, H. Wayne Gowens; her daughter, Waynett Joy Cribbs; her granddaughter, Abigail Emily Cribbs; and her sisters, Catherine Galbreath, Joyce Roe Ward, and Joan Bearden. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, at 10am at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Piedmont.
