Betty Tidwell

Tidwell, Betty Lou Moon, age 84 of Birmingham, Sunrise December 8th, 1931 Sunset January 6th, 2016. She was a former member of Sherwood Church of God. She was born in Douglas, AL and graduated from Douglas High School in 1950. She retired from Collateral Mortgage after numerous years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Kerna B. Tidwell; infant daughter, Kathy Bea Tidwell; parents, Hogan and Everette Moon; brother, Paschal Moon; sister, Nell Harrison. Survivors include her only daughter, Susan Tidwell Self of Trussville; two very special granddaughters, Stacia (Gerald) Dixon of Buffalo, NY; Shawna (Darrell) Pair of Gardendale, AL; and her three precious great-grandchildren, Sakyia and Tre' Dixon, and Trenden Pair; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and many friends. Mrs. Tidwell was an Avid Alabama fan who loved her family and was loved by all who knew her. The family would like to express a special Thank You to all the caregivers and staff of Sun Rise Ridge Assisted Living in Trussville. A Graveside Funeral Service will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville on Saturday January 9th, 2016 at 11:00am with visitation an hour prior to service at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
