Betty "Bebee" Josephine Travis Shufflebarger of Clay, Alabama passed away at her home surrounded by her family on December 1, 2012 at the age of 76 after a short and brave battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Byron Warwick Travis (1982) and Effie Loujean (Lee) Travis (1988) both of Birmingham, Alabama; Brother Byron "Dick" Warwick Travis, Jr., of Birmingham, Alabama (1974). Daughter by marriage Diane Renee Shufflebarger Hosey of Locust Fork, Alabama (2008). Along with her devoted pet "Honey". She is survived by her beloved Husband Stacy of 40+ years; Daughter Rebecca Shufflebarger (Jerry) Cusimano of Trussville, Alabama; Son by marriage Michael Warren (Myra) Shufflebarger of Carrolton, Alabama and Sister Frances (John) Greene of Springville, Alabama. Grandchildren: Ashley Brooke Cusimano (Waymon) Goosby of Margaret, Alabama; Alexandria Lee Cusimano and Joshua Warren Cusimano both of Trussville, Alabama. Grandchildren by marriage: Randi Frances Hosey; William Caleb Chance Hosey; Amanda Nicole Cusimano (Kevin) Kimbrel of Alabaster, Alabama; Brandie Lanee Shufflebarger of Carrolton, Alabama; Stephen Michael Shufflebarger of Carrolton, Alabama, and Austin Tyler Shufflebarger of Carrolton, Alabama and 4 Great Grandchildren. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 3, 1936; grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1954. She touched many lives with her strong will for life. She was a devoted wife; mother and grandmother. She was a former member of St John's United Methodist Church and is a current member of Pinson United Methodist Church and the Lazy Daisy Garden Club. Bebee loved bird watching, traveling and feeding her raccoons in Gatlinburg. We are all thankful for all the loving friends that were there in her time of need. Along with her team of doctors, staff and hospice nurses that were there with us as she left this world. Services will be Tuesday, December 4, at 12pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Monday. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
