Betty Real

Betty Z. Real of Trussville, died peacefully in her sleep on July 10th 2023 at the age of 91. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday July 24th 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Graveside service to follow immediately at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

Betty Lorene Zeanah was born in Gordo, Al on February 10, 1932 to parents Kate (Elrod) and Jim Zeanah. She attended Montevallo University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Home Economics. Betty married Frazier Real in 1957 and they settled in Birmingham, Al where she was a member of the Eastlake Methodist Church.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frazier, brother, Bobby Zeanah and two sisters Wilma Culver and Jean Johnson. She is survived by her two sons Dr. Steve Real (Jodie) of Trussville, Al and Gary Real (Jill) of Niceville, Fl and one sister Gay Green (Terrell). Grandchildren Dr. Kelsey Kennedy (Michael), Larsen Real, Katy Tansey (Tim), Cooper Real, Terra Milhorn (Jason), Stefanie Davidson (Chace) and Patrick Tidwell. Great Grandchildren Connor, Carter Jane, Marguerite, Trey, Tristan, Adam, Logan, Kye and Asher. A host of nieces, nephews, close family friends and her beloved puppies.
