Betty Goodwin

Betty Franklin Goodwin, age 85, entered heaven on March 17, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Goodwin, son Jimmy, parents, Roy & Ila Franklin, sisters, Virginia Duncan, Verna Cox and brother, Hollis (Ug) Franklin. She is survived by her daughter, Belinda McCullough, son-in-law, David McCullough, cousin, Faye Thomas (Jacksonville Fl.) and a host of nieces and nephews. Betty was a long time member of Hilldale Baptist Church, and currently First Baptist Church Pinson. She was employed with First Baptist Church Centerpoint Daycare for 4 years. She was a “Pink Lady” volunteer at St. Vincent’s East Hospital For 15 years. She taught children’s Sunday School for many years. Betty always greeted everyone with her beautiful, sweet smile. There will be a visitation Monday March 22, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville with a graveside service to follow.
