Betty Cruce

Betty Ann Cruce, age 69, died at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, Georgia, on Thursday, September 4th, 2014, after an extended illness. Born May 14th, 1945, in Sylacauga, Alabama, she lived in Birmingham and recently in Phenix City, Alabama. She sold insurance for thirty years prior to her retirement. Betty was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include her two children Darlene Ward (Robin) and Jim Ricks (Debbie), grandchildren Nichole Odom, Casey Linenkemper, Auston Ricks, one great grandchild Emery Linenkemper, two sisters Faye Roberts and Linda Madinger. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Cruce. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Highway, Birmingham, Alabama. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Hospice, 720 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
