Betty C Bass

Betty Calhoun Bass, age 92 was born in Chalkville on March 21, 1928. She passed Saturday April 18, 2020 at Elmcroft Assisted Living facility of Grayson Valley on Old Springville Road.  She was a member of Taylor Memorial United Methodists Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Oron Lamar Bass Sr., parents Amzi Allen Calhoun and Bessie Pearl Calhoun. She is survived by her three children, Oron (Sonny) Lamar Bass Jr. (Sandra), Linda Schimpf (Jeffrey) and Denis Allen Bass (Gisela), sister Patricia Green ( David) and Faye Calhoun (Jimmy).  Also 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  There is one special friend of Mrs Bass, Clint Moore of Clay (Fairhope).  The grave side services will be held on Friday April 24,2020 at 11:00 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.  In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
