Bettie Sim

Sim, Bettie Marie Stanley, age 91, of Hoover passed away May 2, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecile and Walter F. Stanley, and her husband of 61 years, William C. Sim. She is survived by her son, William A. Sim and her daughter-in-law Diane E. Sim. She was born and raised in Taylorville, IL. During WWII, she lived on both coasts and later lived in Taylorville IL, Guntersville, AL and Orangeburg, SC before retiring in Birmingham. She was a homemaker and worked as a receptionist/book-keeper for a doctor in Guntersville, AL. She loved corresponding with people on the internet, cooking, and traveling. Graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens in Birmingham, AL at 1:00 PM.
