Bessie Nix

Bessie Mae Nix, 92, of the Eastlake area of Birmingham, AL passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020. She was a proud member of Deerfoot Baptist Church. Spending time with her family and friends, and quilting with her church family were times that she cherished most. Candy making at Christmas was something she was known for and something her family and friends looked forward to. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert Doyle Nix. She is survived by her children Larry Nix, Randy (Nelda) Nix and Rick (Tracee) Nix, her grandchildren Devona Nix Zales, Joshua Nix, Angela Nix, Jennifer (Rodney) Stevens, Tracy Nix Holland and Austin (Kaleigh) Nix, and her great grandchildren Taylor Zales, Kelsey Smith, Josh Stevens, Hannah Stevens, Nathan Holland and Morgan Holland. A visitation service will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday March 11th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 1591 Gadsden Hwy, Trussville, Alabama, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
