Bertha Baker

Baker, Bertha (Bert), age 71, of Springville, Al went home to be with her Lord on Monday, August 11, 2008. Mrs. Baker was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church of Springville; Al. Mrs. Baker attended Ensley High School and retired from Southern Company Services. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Corn of Birmingham, AL. She is survived by her husband Glenn E. Baker; two sons, Steven (Kim) of Baton Rouge, LA, and Barry Baker of Pensacola FL; three grandchildren, Allen, Shelley, and Todd Baker of Baton Rouge, LA; two brothers, Leland and Ellis Corn of Birmingham, AL; sister, Mary "Missie" Corn. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL. Service to follow on Thursday at 10:00AM at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Spring Valley Baptist Church- Children's Building Fund. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
