Dr. Ben F. Hooker went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 10:42 AM, Thursday, August 20, 2020. He was born in Hooker, Arkansas to John Franklin Hooker and Retha Belle Hooker on August 4, 1933 and is survived by his wife, Mary M. Hooker, daughters: Catherine Hooker Yasko, Tanya Tidwell, Amy Howe; six grandchildren, Oliver Littleton, Christian Yasko, Ethan Yasko, Edmond Howe, Madelynn Howe, and Maryann Howe. Ben joined the Navy and served in the Korean War in Japan as quartermaster, handling the ships signaling, semaphore flag and lights and Morse Code. After the war, he entered Chiropractic college graduating in 1960. The present office, Eastern Chiropractic is located in Trussville. During his tenure in the Alabama Chiropractic Association, he was the longest serving President of the Alabama State Chiropractic Association. Ben is a member of The Healing Place Church and in many years of Christian service, helped those who Christ has called us to love and care for. With his wife and children, Ben traveled the world, making lasting memories. Husband, Father, Friend, Doctor, Servant. Known to his friends and patients as Doc, Ben was a people person. No one will ever take his place in our hearts and lives, but his legacy of love and Christian service will live on.
