Benjamin Franklin Jones, age 84, passed away October 30, 2008. He was a resident of Remlap, AL and had lived in East Lake for over 55 years. He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 91, a WWII veteran, and a former member of Vulcan Archery Club. Frank was an avid fisherman and hunter until his health prevented him from these activities. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Lanora Cochran Jones, five sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Lannette and Fred Stallings, son and daughter-in-law Robert and Mary Jones of Carson City, NV, four grandsons, S Paul Jones and R Michael Jones of Calgary Alberta Canada, Fritz Stallings of Remlap, AL and Don Stallings, US Army , Camp Casey Korea, granddaughter-in-law Sheri Stallings of Clay, AL, four great grandchildren, Jacob Stallings, Samuel Stallings, Kyleigh Stallings of Clay Al, and Katelynn Stallings of Moody, AL. He is also survived by two sisters, Camie Thomas of Jacksonville, FL and Eula Banks of Lakeland, FL. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2008 at 3:00 in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the funeral home.
