Benjamin Gipson

Gipson, Benjamin E., JR, "B.E.", "Gip", 84, completed his earthly journey on Sunday, January 29, 2012, peacefully at home; he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Abigail Masterson Gipson; daughter, Kathy Walton Gipson; sister, Carolyn Sue Hollinghead; brother, James Earl Gipson. He is survived by his children: Glenda Joyce "Skeeter" Wilson (Billy), Margaret Ann Caudill, Wayne Gipson (Donna), Patsy Gale Brown (Ray), Norma Jean "Bug" Turner (Mike), Larry Gipson (Wanda), Mary Ellen "Winkle" Ramsey (Kevin) and Benjamin "Benji" Gipson (Dana);brothers: Robert Gipson, Johnny Gipson (Linda); sisters: Betty Gipson Gentry (Milford), Ernestine Gipson Bullion; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was retired from North Alabama Express and Walmart. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the 62nd Signal Battalion as a paratrooper. His stories and wisdom will be missed. Visitation for Mr. Gipson will be Tuesday, January 31 from 5 - 7 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Wednesday, February 1 at 12PM.
