Benjamin D. Gamble

Mr. Benjamin Delano Gamble, age 84, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018. Benjamin was born in Millwood, PA where he spent the earliest years of his life. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for over 40 years. He was a retired Safety Engineer, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Alabama football fan. Benjamin was proud of his military service in the United States Marine Corps. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ulmer Gamble. He is survived by his daughters: Ellen Terry (Jay), Diane Hopkins (Dave), and Sandra Lehmann (Michael); brothers: George and Edward Gamble; seven grandchildren: Joseph Hopkins (Lindsay), Jaclyn Terry, Jeff Terry, Theresa Lehmann, Veronica Lehmann, Rachel Lehmann, and Paul Lehmann; and one great-grandchild: Declan Hopkins. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Monday, October 15th at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 10:45am at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Marine Corps military honors. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville directing.
