Belton Roberson

Belton Glenn Roberson, age 89 of Pinson, AL passed away on April 8, 2015. He was born in Miami, FL and at age one moved to Birmingham, AL where he was raised. He lived in California for ten years and then moved back to Birmingham. He attended Woodllawn High School. He was a retired cabinet maker. He served in the US Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He received a Purple Heart while serving in the South Pacific. He also served during the Korean conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Rosha Roberson and his brother, James H. Roberson. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruby M. Roberson; son, Glenn Allen Roberson (Margaret); grandchildren, Sherrie D. Orchard (Scott), Sandi DeMarco (John), Jason Peach (Alex) and Jamie Peach all of Apple Valley, California; great grandchildren, Cassandra and John DeMarco, Jr.; sister-in-law, Sarah Morton of Niceville, FL; several cousins in Georgia. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 12 to 1 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services to follow at 1 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Norman Stapp will be officiating over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
