Barbara Reeves

Beloved Barbara Ann Reeves (72) died February 18th, 2024 after a two and

half year battle with cancer. She was born February 4th,1952 in Cullman, AL, the daughter of

Woody Stokes and Levern (Parks-Stokes) Laney. Barbara shared almost twenty-six years of devoted

marriage with Kevin Reeves. She was extremely active in her church and spent many hours

feeding the congregation and decorating. She was fiercely loving and loyal to all those she cared for

and kind to everyone she met. She was as hard working and resilient as she was kind.

She was predeceased by her father Woody Stokes and grandson Kenny and step grandchild

Grace. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband Kevin and her son Stephen (Midge)

Cornelius, daughter Monica (Yousef) Khalaf, and step children Todd, Kimberly and Jessica

Reeves, five grandchildren Ihsan (Dina), Bashar (Aiyah), Parish (Josh), Mary Ann and Rania

and step grandchildren Dalton, Dustin, Faith, Allen, Hope, Hunter and Brantly and three great

grandchildren Yara, Idris and Nova and her two sisters Helen Shockley and Sherri Duke and

niece and nephews Shane, Keelen, Chad, Chassidy, and Dane and her soul sister Jacki

Harland.

Services will be held Friday February 23, 2024 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and

Gardens at 1591 Gadsden Highway Birmingham, AL 35235

Visitation for family will be held 10am-11am

Open visitation will be 11am-Noon

Memorial Service and burial at Noon
