Barbara Martin

Barbara Joyce East Martin, 79 of Gardendale, AL went home to be with her heavenly Father on April 17, 2016. She was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Dovie East; her husband, James C. Martin, Sr., and her brother, Charles Reuben East (Jean). She is survived by her sons, James "Jim" Cowan Martin, Jr. (Tami) and Donald Hollis Martin; sisters, Wanda Manning (John) and Vicki Wilson (Kenneth); brother, Phillip East; grandchildren, Ami Gayle Martin, Ana Joyce Ramsay (Matt), Derrick Thomas Martin (Kimberly) and Dylan James Martin; great granddaughter, Maci Gayle Martin and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. The burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Dean Pesnell will be officiating over the services. The family would like to give a special thanks to friend whom Mrs. Martin loved very much, Brenda Lee Knighten.
