Barbara Ann Hudson (Shuga)

Barbara Ann Hudson (Shuga), age 90, of Pinson, Al on October 26, 2023. She was born in Bessemer, Al to James Arrington and Lula Gray Carrell on September 16, 1933. Barbara graduated from Hueytown High School and went on to further her education receiving a bachelors degree as a RN for 40 plus years. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and playing hymns on her keyboard. She was know for her coconut cakes and homemade pies. Barbara grew up modeling and felt her best in her favorite color red. Barbara and her son Steven were long time members of Eastlake Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; James Arrington and Lula Gray Carrell; two sister; Betty; brothers, Nimrod and Carrell; sons, Douglas and Scott Price and one grandchild Adam.

Barbara leaves behind her son Steven Price; sister, Dorothy, and 3 grandchildren.

The family  will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm with a service to follow in the chapel at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville.  Committal service to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
