Barbara Elms

Mrs. Barbara Ann Black Elms, 70, of Trussville (formerly of Arab/Huntsville) passed away Friday, April 27, 2018. Barbara was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a retired Administrator from Jefferson County School System with 20 years at Erwin Elementary. She is preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Estella Black; brother, Frank Black; and step-father, Elmer Hipp. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Tom Elms; daughter, Lisa Elms Boone; son, Thomas Elms, Jr. (Betsy); grandsons, Dane and Micah; sister, Harriett Holder (Larry); two nieces and two nephews. A visitation will be held Friday, May 4, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Graveside service will be Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 11:00 am, at Remlap Community Cemetery, 17259 Remlap Drive, Remlap, AL 35133. The family expresses deep gratitude to Dr. Ira Gore and staff, as well as Dr. Harry Giles and staff, for many years of wonderful care.
