Auster L. "Polly" Lockhart

Auster L. Lockhart, better known as Polly, was born May 30, 1924 and passed away on May 5, 2022.

Ms. Polly was married to Charlie G. Lockhart for 65 years. She was the 5th of 12 siblings. Polly was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Roebuck Plaza.  Polly loved doing yard work and sewing.

Polly was preceded in death by her parents Vada C. & Jettie Poore, husband Charlie G. Lockhart and son Larry Lockhart.  She is survived by her daughter Shirley Self (Leonard), daughter-in-law Jeri Lockhart, grandson Dwayne Self, granddaughters Denise Henry (Tim) and Sheri Amenda (Jason), great granddaughters Cassie Markham (Chris), Savannah Henry, Emily Amenda, sister Mary Lou Pounds and extended loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00, with funeral services at 12:00 followed by her burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
